Our Story

We are a passionate team of individuals, each with a deep and personal connection to Palestine. Growing up immersed in our Palestinian heritage, we celebrated our culture with every meal, every song, and every story passed down through generations. The beauty of our traditions, from vibrant textiles to glorious music and heartwarming hospitality, has shaped who we are today.

Our founders met during their university days in Bristol and Cardiff, where they bonded over shared experiences of Palestinian life in the diaspora. It was through these connections that our journey began. In 2022, our CEO, Lily, embarked on a mission to bring a new vision to life – directing a documentary that would capture the essence and beauty of Palestinian culture. What started as a dream soon became a reality, with ‘Generation Palestine’ premiering within the year.

Released in late 2023, just a month after the devastating events began in Gaza, ‘Generation Palestine’ arrived at a time when the world needed it most. It served as a beacon of hope, helping thousands of Palestinians across the globe feel seen, connected, and heard.

The overwhelming response to our film inspired us to do more. The stories of those who felt a renewed sense of belonging showed us the importance of continuing this work. Following the documentary’s success, we felt compelled to keep the momentum going, finding new ways to unite Palestinians in the diaspora.

This drive led to the formation of Generation Palestine CIC, a non-profit organisation dedicated to supporting and connecting Palestinians living away from their homeland. Through community outreach, education, creative projects and cultural archiving, we aim to strengthen the bonds of our people, helping them to reconnect with their roots and with one another.

As we continue to grow, so does our impact. Our events, creative initiatives, and community projects are expanding, and with every new step, we are bringing more Palestinians closer to their heritage and to each other. What started as a small vision has blossomed into a thriving community, and together, we are building something meaningful – a space where Palestinians can feel at home (away from home).
